Summer Fishing & Swimming

Well this family is NOT a very good fishing family. The boys have begged and begged Beau and I to take them fishing. Although I would LOVE to buy a boat, we decided just to go to the little pond…And really I wouldn’t buy a boat to go fishing! Anyways within 2 minutes of being there Brennen’s line was so tangled and broken that he just walked around in the heat. Braeden decided to try to catch a fish and caught my leg with the hook, not just once but twice. Needless to say I decided fishing was NOT for mommy and that it can be a boy bonding time from now on! Unless we are on a boat in the middle of water, I have something to drink, and it’s not 100 degrees outside!! =]

We have also loved going swimming all summer. The first time we went this year Brennen stepped on a wasp. Needless to say they have fixed the wasp problem and I’m trying to teach the boys how to swim so we can jump off that BIG diving board!

Happy 1st Birthday Av

I still can NOT believe Av is already 1! It’s hard enough for me to imagine my kids are 4! Anyways we made a flying trip (only 2 hours late) to her birthday because daddy’s jeep broke so we were car shopping. Who knew it took 6 hours to buy a pick-up. Yes 6 HOURS! It was crazy. Well daddy is happy, we made it to Av’s birthday and we got to have an awesome time at the Jump Around!!

Easter 2011

Man the boys are getting big!! And Braeden is outgrowing his brother! We made cupcakes once again for school then went home for the weekend and visited G-unk’s church easter morning!

Take me out to the ball game…

The boys are officially old enough to play baseball!! It took a couple of games to get coach-pitch batting down but they did AMAZING! Towards the end of the season they were hitting the ball every time and understood the concept of the game much better! Can’t wait till next year. It was amazing to watch how much they could improve just in a weeks time!!

New House

We moved in March and have loved every second of it. We moved outside of town into a much larger house and new school district for the boys to start school. We have much more room with 4 bedrooms, which we get to use one as a playroom, and office and even a swimming pool in my bathroom! (AKA Jetted tub!) Much more pictures to come after we moved in. Happy 4th Birthday Braeden & Brennen

Did I really just type 4?? Yes 4 years have passed and the boys birthdays just get more fun! This year we had their birthday party at PrimeTime here in town. We originally wanted a sports-themed party, but once we got booked at PrimeTime it was all under the sea. So we went with sports-filled cupcakes for school and I made a octopus and shark for the party! I have to say I just LOVE making their birthday cakes each year. I didn’t make them last year since we were living with dad but I really enjoyed getting back into it even if half my decorating things were packed up and ready to move to the new house! We had a great time and had a great turn out. It is so awesome being surrounded by family and friends! I love living in Texas again!!
